IN CHARACTER
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: He's not likely to initiate affection, but you're more than welcome to try to inflict it on him
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: He's not a great fighter but go ahead?
RELATIONSHIPS: He's not really looking for any, but crush on him if you want.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: If you're a mindreader, you might not like him much because he overthinks just about everything and talks to himself a lot about just about everything and everyone he interacts with. If you're one of those beings who can detect psychic ability, he might ping you as having some psychic abilities.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Decent at most kinetic abilities, though it depends on what pins he has on his person.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Nothing interesting of note.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Death will probably come up in any in-depth discussions with him.

Character Information
Name: Neku Sakuraba
Canon: The World Ends With You
Canon Point: Post-game
OU/AU/CRAU/OC: OU
Age: 15
World Information: Basically the world is an alternate version of the Shibuya ward of Tokyo, with many business and building names changed and with a slightly different layout. There's also the 'Underground', a sort of spirit world that overlays the real world and is where the Reaper's Game is played.
Personal History: A wiki link!
Personality: Neku Sakuraba is a very introverted and unfriendly young man, who would like nothing better than to be able to ignore everyone in the world and have everyone ignore him. At least when he's first introduced.
Before spending time in the Reaper's Game he’s very rude, asocial, and misanthropic, refusing to interact with people as a whole as he feels that society is personally out to bother and inconvenience him. He sees getting close to anyone as a setup for failure and disappointment, and isn’t afraid to share that opinion with those who press him about it. He’s not loud about it, though, preferring to keep quiet unless necessary and just keeping a near-constant stream of mean-spirited commentary going in his head about everyone he meets. Needless to say, he also has a whole lot of trust issues.
It's revealed somewhat late in the game that this likely isn't how he is normally, or at least he didn't used to hate everyone. A bit of optional dialogue reveals that Neku had a very close friend who he was supposed to meet up with one day, but who got into a fatal accident, something Neku partly blames himself for. He believes that if he hadn't contacted the friend and asked him to hang out, or if they'd picked somewhere else to meet up, the friend wouldn't have been hit by a car. The grief caused him to withdraw and keep his distance from people so he wouldn't get hurt again.
Regardless of trauma-related misanthropy, he tends goes along with whatever’s thrown at him, either out of curiosity or lack of anything else to do, and shows a fairly laid-back attitude towards weird happenings. He has a a very active imagination, though--sometimes losing himself in thoughts of what could happen or might happen in any given situation--allowing him to find something interesting (if not fun) in whatever shenanigans he’s managed to get roped into. (Not that he'll always show it) Sometimes he gets carried away with his imaginings and assume a scenario has gone the way he thought and will react accordingly, leading some to believe he’s flipped out over nothing. Possibly because of this, Neku prefers to let others notice things on their own, only pointing things out or offering what he knows if they haven't gotten the clue. Sometimes with a hint of sarcasm, as if they should know already and it's terribly inconvenient for him to be helping them.
During his time in the Game, he doesn't change in major ways, but rather small, subtle ways that eventually add up.
His first week is rocky. Anyone participating in the game is required to partner up with another Player just to survive, and Neku's first partner is Shiki, who’s more than happy to try to make friends. Neku returns her cheerfulness with sarcasm and insults, brushes her off and leaves mid-conversation several times, and ignores a lot of what she has to say. He doesn't even refer to her by name, calling her a stalker for following him around while he attempts to figure out what's going on. He even gets so wrapped up in figuring out how he’s going to win and escape the game on his own that he lets himself be convinced that Shiki is a spy working against him and that he needs to kill her. He nearly goes through with it. Later, he ends up feeling terrible for this. He eventually warms up to Shiki enough to actually seek out and try to comfort her when she has her own emotional crisis, but he's still cold to other Players like Beat and Rhyme, and when Rhyme is killed not long after Neku meets her, he uses her death as justification to maintain some distance from people.
His second week in the game, he gets a new partner. This time, it's a kid named Joshua, and while he annoys Neku to no end right from the start, Neku also finds himself agreeing with Joshua on several occasions, especially when it comes to people.
Joshua's opinion that people in general should be done away with is a little too extreme for Neku's liking, but he chalks that up to Joshua attempting to get a rise out of him. He manages to open up to a few people just a little bit during this week...though due to the nature of the Game, he gets to know them and and then gets to watch them essentially die in front of him in a short amount of time. However in contrast to Rhyme's erasure, when Joshua is (apparently) erased at the end of the second week, Neku's far more upset, since while Joshua had more extreme views, they weren't entirely dissimilar from his own.
By the third week, Neku's changed from cold and unfriendly to relatively cool but still willing to listen to what people have to say. He's wary of losing people but not so quick to disregard their mere existence, and but happy when he's eventually reunited with anyone he's spent time with, most of all Shiki and Joshua. At this point, he can't bear to lose anyone he considers even slightly a friend, demonstrated when Joshua, after revealing that he orchestrated everything, challenges him to a gun duel. Despite the betrayal, Neku can't bring himself to pull the trigger against someone he doesn't entirely hate.
This is him at his current canonpoint, where he'll still default to a cooler personality with a few injections of sarcasm, but he's at least willing to interact with others and not dismiss them immediately.
Key themes: Loss, trust, life and death
Main Motivation: Living his life the best he can. Also becoming a famous artist.
Skills: Neku's a normal teenager for the most part, and isn't shown to be explicitly trained in any kinds of martial arts or interested in any sports. It's implied that he's a very creative person and he's show to adore street art, so he's probably decent at drawing and painting.
He's not great at cooking, though, unless it involves directions from a box or recipe.
While participating in the Reaper's game, he's shown to be able to use all types of pin Psychs, whereas most Players can only use one or two. This means he basically has access to telekinesis and limited control over air, fire, water, ice, lightning, sound, time, and space when engaged in battle AND when equipped with certain pins. Outside of battle, he has access to telekinesis and limited telepathy, the latter granted to him by yet another pin. (It's implied these pins do have power outside of the Game, but most people either don't know how to or lack the ability to use them. One example is the 'O-Pin', which is used as a way to mind control people in the real world)
Item: If possible, I'd like him to have a set of 6 pins:
Ohabari
Anguis
Raven
Monkey Leisure
Leo
Final Pyre, All Expired
It's more than one item, but they're very small.
If not possible, I'd like him to have his headphones.
Sample: an old murdergame intro and a more recent TDM toplevel with a few comments
Notes: In the event he's allowed pins, can they have power?
